Tapping into scientific knowledge at Dannhauser Primary School

Dannhauser Primary learners are getting excited about science. Teacher, Gugu Mkhize invited Arcelor Mittal Steel to the school to host a scientific workshop for the students on June 11. Mr Manqoba, Mr Ndela and Mr Njabulo from Arcelor Mittal Steel came fully equipped with all their science apparatuses and gave learners a hands-on experience when it came to conducting experiments.

Various experiments were conducted involving acids and bases. Experiments such as chromatography, magnetism and filtration were also conducted. Learners were captivated and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Dannhauser Primary now has a vision to establish a science laboratory at the school.

The school thanked Mrs Mkhize and Arcelor Mittal for affording the learners the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of working in a science environment.
