Notice: Departments moved to Newcastle Tower Block

Newcastle residents have been notified by the municipality that certain departments have been moved

Newcastle residents have been notified by the municipality that certain departments have been moved from the previous Newcastle Civic Centre in Phase 1 to the Newcastle Tower Block in Phase 2.

Although the move is still in progress, the departments that are currently occupying the Newcastle Tower Block are as follows:

• Municipal Manager Office, Legal Services, Executive Support and Special Programmes on the seventh floor

• Internal Audit, Information Communication and Technology and Performance Management on the sixth floor

• BTO and Chief Financial Officer on the third floor

• BTO and Technical Services on the second floor

• Cashier and Enquires (Meters, Rates and Valuations) on the first floor

• Public Participation on first floor in Phase 1

• Development Planning and Human Settlements on fourth floor (still to move into the Newcastle Tower Block)

• Corporate Services on fifth floor (still to move into the Newcastle Tower Block)

• Town Planning and Technical Services on ground floor (still to move into the Newcastle Tower Block)

• SED: Community Services will be allocated in the office previously occupied by of the Municipal Manager (Phase 1 section) on ground floor (still to move into the Newcastle Tower Block)

“While the public parking is under completion, we kindly request that community members make use of the available parking in the open area between the Library and the Clinic and other alternative parking. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause,” read a statement by the municipality.
