Choir takes to the stage at LHS

Members of the audience got on stage and sang a song with the choir

The audience grew quiet as the sound of lovely singing filled the Ladysmith High School (LHS) hall on Saturday evening.

The NWU Puk-Choir are on a national tour and made a stop in our little town. This choir has had the opportunity to tour internationally before.

The first half of their performance featured a host of foreign languages, but whether you understood what was being sung or not, the songs were delivered with such beauty that the audience sat in rapt silence and appreciated every angelic note that was hit.

A few beautiful Afrikaans psalms were also sung.

Two ladies in the audience who were in the choir a few years ago had the opportunity to perform with the current choir.

The second half started with the choir surrounding the audience and singing about the most beautiful sunset. Three African songs were performed and their finale was breathtaking.

The event was enjoyed by everyone in attendance and definitely worth braving the cold to witness.
