DURNACOL – A 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm on June 17.
According to reports, police received information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts, and traced him to Koppie Alleen Farm.

During the search, police recovered a 9mm pistol and magazine.
Officers asked the culprit to produce his licence, but he was unable to do so.
The Durnacol resident was subsequently arrested and charged accordingly.
Police investigations continue.
