Mixing business with breakfast
Attendees made their way to the Estcourt Golf Club for a rather informative morning session with key speakers from Old Mutual
With the recent challenges facing both the South African and the world economy, Old Mutual hosted their annual Business Breakfast to provide clients with insight on how to cope with the ever changing times.
On Wednesday, June 8 at 8.30am all the attendees made their way to the Estcourt Golf Club for a rather informative morning session with key speakers from Old Mutual.
Old Mutual Estcourt branch Personal Financial Adviser Vash Robson introduced the first key speaker, Rory Reynolds to deliver his address.
“We always have slogans such as ‘every dream deserves a plan’ and so on but this time it is, your results matter,” said Old Mutual Area Manager, Rory Reynolds.
He also delivered interesting statistics of the company and the role they play in adding value to South Africa, which had everyone listening attentively. Just before a scrumptious breakfast was served a lovely gift hamper was issued to one of the two lucky draw winners.
Forderville Primary School Principal, Anil Sookraj shared his interesting and moving life story and attested that if you save money today; it can certainly save you tomorrow. “Life is a race, the obstacles or setbacks are things such as illness, but in order to finish the race you got to get back up after each fall,” said Mr Sookraj.
“If you are the bread winner within your home, do not short change your spouse or your children,” he added. Some of the talks focused on estate planning, how to protect your income, business assurance, and wills. The event was informative and the information dished out was invaluable to all present.
