It is a shoe-in for this thief

Police are looking for a brazen shoe thief who, as a sign of decency, leaves behind his old pair in ‘exchange’ for new shoes when he steals.

The ‘well-heeled’ shopper recently hit Edgars in the Dundee Boulevard Centre and browsed around the shoe department.  It was only later that a security guard noticed that an old pair of sandals had been left behind  – swapped for a new pair of shoes.

The guard gave chase but the man fled from the Centre – leaving behind his car in the parking lot.  The police took possession of the vehicle but, at this stage, the suspect’s particulars and whereabout are still not known.
