Women’s circle spreads winter warmth

The women recently donated 54 pairs of winter socks, soup and canned food to Esperanza Special Needs School.

NEWCASTLE – Newcare Women’s Circle is determined to ensure the winter chills are kept at bay.

The women recently donated 54 pairs of winter socks, soup and canned food to Esperanza Special Needs School.

“Seeing that winter is here, I believed this would be the ideal time to do a soup drive. Together with my ladies, we knitted winter socks,” said Jasmine Roy, chairperson of the organisation.

“On behalf of Esperanza Special Needs School, I would like to thank Newcare Women’s Circle for all their hard work to keep our children warm this winter. I would also like to thank them for the food,” said Jennifer Pillay, principal of the school.
