Without water for 5 days

When contacted for comment, uThukela said the problem was caused by a tree that fell onto electrical wiring

Upset residents called the Gazette offices in an attempt to find out why Cresswell Road has been without water since Thursday.

They say the conditions under which they are currently living are extremely unhygienic and that they are struggling to carry out normal day-to-day activities.

They have requested that a water tanker be sent to help them.

When contacted for comment, uThukela said the problem was caused by a tree that fell onto electrical wiring. They further stated that they have been unable to provide a tanker for the residents.

An update will follow shortly.
