First ever Bridal Fair held in Northern KZN

This past weekend saw the very first Northern KZN Bridal Fair arranged by Bianca and Angie Mitchell-Innes. The two-day bridal fair is the very first of its kind to be held in Northern KZN.
“We wanted to showcase the amazing suppliers we have in our area. Brides feel they have to travel to Johannesburg and Durban to find the best suppliers, but they just don’t have to. The suppliers we have locally are seasoned professionals, so we want people to know that supporting local doesn’t just make perfect sense, it’s cost effective as well. And best of all, you don’t have to compromise, we really do have the crème of the crop right here,” says Angie, who teamed up with her cousin to make this bridal fair a reality. “We’ve worked tirelessly for months to make this bridal fair happen and it was all worth it. The suppliers – from wedding venues to caterers, photographers, hair and makeup specialists, to name but a few – were so absolutely amazing. The support they showed for this bridal fair was phenomenal,” explains Bianca, who runs a wedding venue of her own called Hlanganani in Elandslaagte.
The bridal fair was well supported. Despite the chilly weather, suppliers, brides-to-be and interested community members travelled from far and wide to be part of the fair. The tea garden was well received, with gluhwein and hot chocolate to warm guests while they mingled with suppliers.
Beautiful models dressed as brides braved the chill to show off the stunning bridal dresses and the talented hair and makeup artists’ skills. There was so much to see and so many people to meet.
