Mohanji Newcastle extend care to Brahman cows

Members of the Mohanji organisation recently fed Brahman cows of the Shankar Goushala.

NEWCASTLE – Members of the Mohanji organisation recently fed Brahman cows of the Shankar Goushala.

The Shankar Goushala is situated on the N11, and when translated from Sanskrit to English, the word goshala means shelter for cows.

As cows have a special significance in Hinduism, the donation by Mohanji formed part of the charity group’s spiritual works.

Bags of food was also purchased for the day and will help during the winter months when there is less grass for the cows to graze upon.

Going the extra mile, devotees also fed carrots and apples to the cows.
