Pavement parking puzzles pedestrians.

Keep death off the road, drive on the pavement

While many visitors to Dundee find the parking meters ‘quaint’ and even worth photographing, for many locals these are a source of irritation.

There have often been complaints of law enforcement not being applied equally – fines are issued to motorists who neglect to operate the 20cents parking meters while hawkers operate seemingly without persecution – selling vegetables and other goods – from vehicles parked in parking bays that are ‘metered’.

Outside the IEC office on Victoria Street, parking arrangements have taken a turn for the worst.  When the bays are full, vehicles are seen parking on the pavement.

Motorists believe that enforcement should be done to ensure that the pavements are kept for pedestrians and not for vehicles.
