On 14 May Vryheid High School were Sarel’s hosts for their annual winter sport league matches.
They were strong opponents and as a result they won some matches and lost some. Neither side went down without a fight.
Thank you to Mr Van Staden and Mr Van Jaarsveld for always being there, Mr Van Der Westhuizen who makes all the travel arrangements, the teachers who spend hours coaching them and the parents who give the school their unwavering support.
Chess scores: S Msane, J Potgieter, N Ndala, L Mlambo and L Maphumula won their matches.
Boys Hockey Score: The first team lost 1-0.
Girls Hockey Scores: u/14 won 3-2 and u/16B drew 0-0. The first team won 2-0.
Netball Scores: u/14A lost 7-17 and u/14B drew 13-13. The first team won 20-19 and the second team lost 9-16.
Rugby Scores: The first team won 35-13, the second team won 59-0, u/15 won 19-15, u/14 won 33-7 and u/16 won 5-0.
