Crime was rampant and so were Sentraal.

Ten years ago, Mbuzeni Sokhela (26) was sentenced to 20 years behind bars for robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Mbuzeni and four other men, robbed and attacked two farmers, brutally assaulting them with an iron bar and an axe.

Dundee Primary School also made headlines when the school’s electricity was cut off by the municipality. The school was R25 000 in arrears on their account.

Two more rabies cases were confirmed in Dundee. That brought the number up to four cases in just two weeks.

Four vehicles were stolen during one week. Two of the vehicles were stolen from one yard.

The Dundee and District Club was also broken into. Thieves got away with liquor to the value of R5 000.

In sporting news, Sentraal were ever dominant on the rugby field.
The local lads beat Volksrust by 60 points to 7.
