Damaged roads require speedy repair

The damage worsens by the day, not to mention the danger this poses to both pedestrians and motorists

You may have noticed that just about every road in and about our town needs to be rescued from poor conditions. Many of the roads dug up are left plaguing the road surface with both deep and wide potholes.

The damage worsens by the day, not to mention the danger this poses to both pedestrians and motorists. A concerned resident said that certain roads have been dug up about three months ago and have not yet been repaired.

These dug up sections have left behind huge problematic scars of potholes and breaks in the road surface. A large part of Oliver Cooke Road has been dug up, for what seems like, gaining access to water pipes underground.

Another dug up road has locals concerned.

Locals say they are worried that the area is not securely cordoned off and could easily be overlooked at night. A concerned motorist and resident urged authorities to step in and rescue the poor state of the roads.

While expressing his disgust, he highlighted several areas that need urgent attention in Oliver Cooke and Heritage roads.

“For how long must we complain, for how long will the roads be dug and left to cause potholes among other things?”
