Large dagga haul by police in St Chad’s

The haul weighed in at over 40kg and has an estimated street value of around R60,000

Two suspects have been arrested after Ezakheni SAPS received information concerning a residence in the St Chad’s area. It was alleged that the residents at the premises were dealing in dagga.

The officers swooped down on the premises and conducted a search. They arrested two suspects, aged 31 and 39, and recovered several bags and containers filled with dagga.

Two bundles of dagga plants were also seized.

The haul weighed in at over 40kg and has an estimated street value of around R60,000.

The suspects are due to appear in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court today.

They face charges of dealing in dagga.
