Fun Squash Round Robin
On April 22, Mrs du Plessis organised a fun squash round robin for all the interested young scholars in the area. There were fourteen enthusiastic athletes – in various stages of competency and fitness which ensured a balanced mini tournament. These young teens had an enjoyable afternoon filled with many moments of jokes, sportsmanship and fun. It was beautiful to witness the camaraderie and good manners amongst all the learners. After each competitor played four games, the scores were recorded and tallied up; the semifinals were played by Andile Qwabe (DHS) and twelve year old Rynier van Rensburg (DJS) as well as Talente Qwabe (SAREL) and Keagan Donaldson (DHS). In the end the two Qwabe brothers played out in the finals and Andile Qwabe was victorious in winning the day.
Mrs du Plessis would like to thank all the learners for their enthusiasm and involvement in this successful day! Squash is such an amazing game and the development thereof amongst the youth of Dundee is very important for the future of this sport in our town.
