DJS conquers in sport and culture

Everybody was very excited and did their best on the field.

DJS Redenaars
DJS het hierdie jaar vyf leerders ingeskryf vir die ATKV Redenaars wat gehou is by Amajuba Hoërskool in Newcastle op April 16. Baie geluk aan Henk, Susan en Dian wat deur is na die KwaZulu-Natal semi-finaal wat sal plaasvind op 3 Junie in Durban.
DJS – ‘N bedrywige sportweek
Na ‘n lang gewag en baie opgewondenheid breek die eerste Mini-Toernooi vir die jong klompie spelers aan. Al ons juniorspanne het verlede April 20 by Lucas Meyer in Vryheid gaan deelneem. Everybody was very excited and did their best on the field.

They achieved the following results: Netball: u/7 – played 4, won 1 and lost 3. u/8 – played 4, won 1 and lost 3. Hockey: u/7 – played 3, drew 2 and lost 1. u/8A – played 4, won 2 and lost 2. u/8B – played 3, won 2 and lost 1. u/9 – played 4, won 3 and drew 1. Rugby: u/7A and B – played 3, won 1, drew 1 and lost 1. u/8A – played 3 and drew 3 and u/8B – played 2, won 1 and lost 1.

On the same day, the senior hockey boys played in a tournament at the Oval and performed very well. They played 3, won 1, lost 1 and drew 1 against Uelzen.

Op 21 April vertrek 2 rugby- en 2 dogters hokkiespanne na Utrecht om daar kragte te meet. Al die spanne vaar baie goed en behaal die volgende uitslae: (DJS se tellings eerste)
Hokkie: 0/10: 1 – 1; 1ste span 5 -1. Rugby: 0/10: 0 – 17; 1ste span 36 – 0.
Astro Quiz
The first round of the annual Astro Quiz competition took place at Dundee Junior School on April 22. DJS is very proud of their team that will take part in the Round 2 on July 22. Congratulations to Ellen Glyne, Revashen Kali, Philasande Xaba and Kaylib Naidoo.
