Arrested for pointing a firearm

The suspect faces charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and pointing of a firearm

Police arrested a suspect in the early hours of Saturday morning for pointing a firearm at someone.

This after Ladysmith Visible Policing officers responded to a complaint in the Umbulwane area.

The complainant was horrified that a firearm had been pointed at him.

Further investigation in the area resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old man.

The suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed 9mm pistol.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court today, facing charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and pointing of a firearm.
