Nquthu gunman appears in High Court

Horror Nquthu shooting hitman, Sibongiseni Mdakane and co-accused Mbhekiseni Khambule appeared before the High Court held in Dundee today.

Nquthu Council Speaker hitman, Sibongiseni Mdakane, appeared before the High Court in Dundee yesterday to testify against Mbhekiseni Khambule who allegedly hired him to kill Vusi Ntombela in his classroom Luvisi Primary School, Nquthu, on June 2 015.

The horror shooting also claimed the life of 12-year-old pupil, Elizabeth Nhleko, while another scholar was wounded in the shooting.

Mdakane faced cross-examination from Khambule’s defence attorney  for his confession where his co-accused, Khambule, is alleged to be the one who hired him as the hitman.

The case was adjourned to March 29 where the Mdakane will resume under cross-examination. The accused will remain in custody.

Mdakane, who was sentenced to life imprisonment  on June 22, 2015 for the murder of   Council Ntombela (47) and Elizabeth.

The case will resume on Tuesday.
