BREAKING NEWS: Cash-in-transit vehicle crashes on Allen Street

A cash-in-transit van veered off Allen Street, shortly after 2pm this afternoon.

While it was unclear on how the incident occurred, it was speculated the driver lost control due to the wet road conditions.

Three of the vehicle’s occupants sustained minor injuries after the vehicle went off the road and crashed into the small bridge, situated between CTM and Supertech BMW on Allen Street.

While none of occupants sustained serious injuries, they were transported to MediClinic Newcastle for further evaluation.

Motorists are urged to be cautious when traveling on wet road surfaces.
