Twitter is back up and currently undergoing a severe Twitterlashing for trying to tell users they were experiencing problems via a tweet which, due to the service going down, never got delivered…
A serious “Duh!” moment for the popular text message service who normally keep it tight.

The service was down for close to 4 hours in South Africa, give or take a tweet or two.
