The young lady who attempted to commit suicide last Sunday sadly passed away this morning.
Family members rushed her to hospital after a suicide attempt by strangulation. She was confirmed to be ‘brain dead’ and left on life support in ICU.
She died this morning in the ICU ward at La Verna Hospital.
Sumeet Singh committed suicide on Thursday, December 24, by hanging himself.
The young lady and Sumeet were romantically involved.
These are not the only two incidents of suicide in the area over the Christmas period. Another incident saw a man set himself alight in the Estcourt area.
The female victim name and photo has been removed, at the request of her family.
