Farm attack in Besters area

The intruders were armed with guns, and they beat the owner of the farm and his wife

An elderly couple were attacked on a farm in the Besters area today (Friday).

The intruders were armed with guns, and they beat the owner of the farm and his wife. No one was killed.

The farmer and his wife were taken to hospital to be checked out, and it is believed that they will be released today.

The suspects took firearms from the farm before making their getaway.

The K9 Unit responded to the scene. The farming community of Besters managed to catch the two suspects and called the police, who arrested them and recovered the stolen firearms.

Money was also confiscated, but it is unknown at this stage whether the money was taken from the farm or not.
