3-vehicle collision leaves 1 dead
There were four adults and a baby in the Venture, and one of the adults died in the crash
One person is dead after three vehicles travelling on the R103 had an accident near RTI at about 6.30pm.
The vehicles involved were a single-cab bakkie, a VW Polo and a Toyota Venture. There were four adults and a baby in the Venture, and one of the adults died in the crash.
The driver is in a serious condition after being trapped in the vehicle and having to be freed by EMRS paramedics.
The baby was transported to La Verna Hospital by Sharaj Ambulance Services and is in critical condition. Sharaj also transported a nurse who sustained moderate injuries.
An RTI officer sustained minor injuries.
