Remote jamming in Harding Street

"Park in safe places, constantly check on your vehicle, if possible"

On Monday, December 7 Xola Nkabinde ran a few errands in Harding Street when valuables were stolen from her vehicle at about 4.30pm.
During the incident, which occurred in less than 10 minutes, R3 000 in cash, bank cards, a GTN 800 Samsung Tablet, cosmetics, a phone and jewellery were stolen. As a result, Miss Nkabinde would like to urge motorists to be very vigilant when parking or leaving their cars.

“Park in safe places, constantly check on your vehicle, if possible, and ensure vehicles are properly locked before walking away.
“Also don’t leave valuables in vehicles,” Miss Nkabinde warned. She reported to police that her vehicle was remote jammed and that is how the items were stolen from the car.

On Tuesday, December 8 vigilant salon employees noticed the handbag, with the phone inside, in a parking lot in Victoria Street.
After falling victim to theft out of her vehicle twice, Miss Nkabinde strongly advises locals to exercise caution and be extra vigilant during this festive season.

“People need to be on the lookout all the time, also if they could be honest. Many of the times they watch crimes unfold. It would help police recover the items and put the culprits behind bars,” said Miss Nkabinde.
