Forderville Primary School hosts Speech and Awards

The evening was dedicated to recognising both athletic and academic excellence for 2015

On Thursday, December 3 students, their families, staff and members of the School Governing Body attended the annual Speech and Awards ceremony of Forderville Primary School.

The evening was dedicated to recognising both athletic and academic excellence for 2015. Foundation Phase learners Subhadra Naidoo and Amirah Badat were presented awards for achieving first position at the GET Excellence Awards at district level.

The Dux learner for the year was Yalka Rajcoomar; Pearl Mabooi was awarded prizes for Sports Girl of the year and Mohammed Parak walked away with the title of Sports Boy of the year.

A highlight for the school management team was Forderville Primary School learners and educators recognised with awards by the UThukela District for their excellence in learning and teaching.

The school would like to encourage parents to support their children and urge pupils to be determined and dedicated to achieve success; the school further thanked everyone who attended the function.
