THE INKATHA Freedom Party (IFP) has expressed its condolences to the family of Joseph S’busiso Mncube, IFP Ward 15 Councillor in AbaQulusi Local Municipality, who died in a car accident near Standerton.

“We have lost a selfless soul who dedicated his life to serving his community with passion,” said IFP National Chairperson, Blessed Gwala . “Cllr Mncube represented a rare breed of leaders whose aspiration was to serve the people of AbaQulusi with all he had.

“A humble man, who understood the plight of our people. His dedication to helping the less fortunate members of his constituency was a symbol of compassionate leadership unmatched by most community leaders.

“We are shocked with the fact that he is no more…” said Mr Gwala.

“The death of a councillor who is an elected servant of the people, leaves a gaping void in the sphere of local government, and this death has robbed us of one more foot soldier in our fight against poverty, inequality and unemployment.

“We are numbed by this tragic loss of a man who was committed to working in his community. His dedication to his work and residents was a symbol of passion and admirable commitment.

“We send our heartfelt condolences to the family, the AbaQulusi Local Municipality and the people of AbaQulusi which he served with diligence.

“We also wish Sphesihle Buthelezi, who was also involved in this accident, a speedy recovery,” concluded Mr Gwala.
