Update: Vehicle skips stop street and crashes into light pole

A vehicle travelling along Lancashire into Diamana Road crashed into a light pole this morning (Wednesday).

The vehicle was turning into Diamana Road when the driver skipped the stop street, hit the curb at the side of the road and knocked over a light pole.

The entire accident was captured on CCTV, including the fact that the vehicle did not stop at the stop street.

Sharaj Ambulance Services and Public Safety responded to the scene.

The Electricity Department also had to be called to fix the light pole and cables that were uprooted by the vehicle.
