Eight plasma television sets stolen from Russells

"Security needs to be stepped up big time especially in the central business district as we approaching the festive season"

On Monday, November 2 at about 2.45am Russells Store Manager Khanyisile Mdlethse got a call alerting her of a break-in. Eight flat screen plasma television sets to the value of R50 000 was stolen from the store.

On scene were Russells staff and the security company, while a case was registered with the Estcourt police. Mrs Mdlethse affirmed that staff were left rattled by the news; as two weeks ago the store was broken into and seven flat screen plasma television sets were stolen.

“At this time of the year, crimes such as this always take place, I urge business people to take as many safety precautions as possible.”

“Security needs to be stepped up big time especially in the central business district as we approaching the festive season,” expressed Mrs Mdlethse.
