Police intercept dagga delivery

The two suspects both aged 34 were arrested and charged for possession of dagga, which weighed 427 kilograms

Dagga with a street value of R500 000, which was destined for Bergville was intercepted by police last Thursday. Ingwavuma police received information about a bakkie transporting dagga from Mozambique to Bergville.

“Police conducted an operation and a bakkie with a trailer was spotted. The vehicle was stopped and searched. 47 bags of dagga were found inside the bakkie and a trailer,” said police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane.

The two suspects both aged 34 were arrested and charged for possession of dagga, which weighed 427 kilograms. They appeared in the Ingwavuma Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
