The sweet sounds of harmonious bliss resonated through the halls of the Pines, as Annalise Wiids’s angelic voice serenaded the subdued audience.
Vlindervrou which translates in English as butterfly lady, was this year’s theme.
Recently held at Pine Junction, the third annual event was hosted by organiser, Wilna Strydom.
Elegant butterflies adorned numerous tables, in light of the theme.
The aim of the event was to empower woman and encourage them to seek strength from each other, and acknowledge they are not alone in their strifes.
Vlindervrou, is in honour of women from different walks of life, who become too wary of the world with all its negativity,” said Mrs Strydom.
Guests were treated to an afternoon of scrumptious desserts and snacks to complement the theme.
Mrs Wiid, who was the speaker at the event, used the analogy of a butterfly.
“Spirituality and inner strength can uplift you and make you feel as light and carefree as a butterfly.” concluded Mrs Wiid.
