With the hard work and dedication they have endured they proved not to be second best. They obtained first position in all three levels of the competition from regional up to national. The competition was made possible by the Road and Safety Transport Department where learners had to compile a report on roads’ issues, as well as possible solutions. Sebenzakusakhanya chose the P/356/2 road, Dundee/Ladysmith road and Masakhane road in Sithembile to research.

The competition commenced on August 22 on a regional level in Ladysmith. They proceeded to Durban to compete on September 5, and again proved that they are the champions. At national level all this was made possible and finalised and they were crowned 2015 champions in the competition. A floating trophy was awarded to them as well apple I-pads, bags and other stuff. One learner from each province stands a chance to go to Brazil with the Minister of Transport, Dipuo Pieters. The school is so happy and proud of these learners who have ‘arisen and shone’, not only for the school, but for the whole of South Africa.
