Update: Missing man found murdered

The partially decomposed body of Patrick Muntu Mzolo was found on Friday afternoon along the banks of the Klip River.

The deceased had been stabbed to death.

Mzolo went missing on Sunday, September 27.

After an extensive investigation into Mzolo’s disappearance, police netted a 30-year-old suspect at a house in the Glencoe area. This, in turn, led to the discovery of the deceased’s body.

The suspect is due to appear in court today on charges of kidnapping and murder.

The motive for the murder is not clear at this stage.
