Philip Frame Road residents ask IFP for help

Residents complain that they have to use a flashlight to lock their gates at night due to the area being so dark

The IFP was recently called out to help residents of Philip Frame Road with the endless problems they are facing.

The community called a meeting with Councillor Abbas Warasally from the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) to appeal for his assistance. The main problem is the poor condition of their roads. In addition, speed humps have been removed and now motorists evidently drive at high speeds. This includes quad bikes and motorcycles.

Another problem is overgrown vegetation at the side of the road, which makes driving difficult as motorists can’t see other vehicles coming around corners. This, they say, has caused numerous accidents in the area.

Streetlights are also not working, and one has even been removed from the road. Residents complain that they have to use a flashlight to lock their gates at night due to the area being so dark.

Cllr Warasally assured the residents that he would take up their grievances with his party and also with the local municipality.
