Witnesses have described a ‘wild-west’ shooting that left a man shot and injured in the leg at Hi-Way Motors Engen Garage on Victoria Street this evening.
A NDH registered taxi had apparently pulled into the garage at around 6.30pm. An argument seemed to ensue between passengers who got out of the taxi.
A man, who was still sitting in the taxi, was shot in the leg when one of the three men produced a firearm and fired three shots. The three then fled on foot.
Police and an ambulance were soon on the scene and the area cordoned off.
