DHS’s Trishen impresses science judges

He really impressed the expert judges in different fields of knowledge and received a highly commended award for his project.

On Tuesday, October 6, Trishen Pillay travelled to Birchwood Hotel in Midrand to take part in the annual Science Expo and did exceedingly well!

More than 700 learners from across the country took place in this prestigious competition.
He really impressed the expert judges in different fields of knowledge and received a highly commended award for his project.
He was also awarded the RS Raspberry Pi Prize for showing awareness and understanding of a current technological challenge and offering an innovative solution.
His project was based on developing a novel ignition preventing drunken driving. Trishen is proof that hard work pays off and that pursuing goals will lead you to new heights of achievement.
DHS choir festival
The DHS choir will be perform this Thursday, from 6 pm in the school hall. Boerewors rolls and cool drinks will be available before and during interval.

Tea and coffee will also be served with cake from Kerryn’s coffee shop.
