Raising funds for wildlife conservation

KwaZulu Natal Hunting and Conservation Association, Newcastle Branch, hosted its annual venison in partnership with Blackrock Casino on Saturday.

The purpose of the event was to raise funds for wildlife conservation in South Africa.

The association aims to promote conservation and raises funds for non-profit conservation organisations.

The nature of the organisation’s work entails advocating knowledge, love and respect for wildlife. In addition, members seek to to assist and cooperate with authorities and landowners in the conservation, distribution and sustainable utilisation of wildlife.

Through an evening of good food, educational talks revolving around the environment, a total of R6 000 was donated to Endangered Wildlife Trust, as well as an additional R6 000 to Kwa Cheetah Breeding Project.
