Sporting fun for paramedics

After the day’s fun and games, the staff all socialised over an enjoyable braai and took the time to bond with one another

KZN Emergency Medical Services (EMS) held a sports day on Saturday morning at the 5SAI army base sports grounds.

Paramedics and EMS admin staff from the Uthukela, Amajuba, Harry Gwala and Umgungundlovu districts took part in the sporting events, which comprised netball for the ladies and soccer for the men.

The netball ladies adeptly showed off their skills on the court, with Uthukela taking on Amajuba and enjoying the large home crowd support.

The soccer action saw Uthukela taking on Umgungundlovu, with the former rising to the occasion to beat their opponents by two goals to one.

The aim of the sports day was to facilitate a healthy lifestyle for EMS staff (both paramedics and admin) and also to get to know their colleagues from the other districts.

After the day’s fun and games, the staff all socialised over an enjoyable braai and took the time to bond with one another. All in all, a lovely sporting excursion in the name of healthy living.
