Supports rolls in for dynamic bowling club

A successful annual general meeting was held last Friday with outstanding financial results, despite the depressed economy.
The committee was congratulated by all present for an outstanding financial year. Most of the committee will remain, President Nan Roos, Vice-President Sylvia Malan, Secretary Brian Taylor, Treasurer Willie Nel and Lourens Roos as greenkeeper.
The committee will co-opt a further member due to the vacuum left by Lyn Dippenaar who did an outstanding job during her term. The committee would like to thank all the Sponsors and the Dundee Community for their amazing support throughout the year.
T-Shirts 4 Afrika Business League
The sponsors, T Shirts 4 Afrika leapt ahead in the Business League at the halfway stage. The team Malan/Garden Design and NEMS are busy battling it out between them for second position! Moths, in fourth position, are trying to regain their top form and will certainly start their chase in the second half of the competition.
CLUB COMPETITIONS
The club Draw Pairs was played on Saturday with a very last game being the decider. The winners, by one point, were Nan Roos and Ian de Jager, runners-up Des Johnson and Willie Nel, third position Greg Conolly and Dora Joubert. The famous stone was won by Carl Arndt and Anna Muller. A great day of bowls enjoy by all who participated.
KZNCB Champion of Champions will take place in Empangeni Bowling Club this coming weekend, good luck to Nan Roos representing our club. Unfortunately, Des Johnson is unable to attend due to his daughter participating in SA Athletics Champs.
The KZNCB Northerns Men and Ladies Singles champs take place in Dundee September 26/27.
