Armed robbers target Lewis Stores

The pair are still at large and no arrests have been made.

Two firearm-wielding robbers targeted Lewis Stores and made off with R64 000 in cash on September 4.
The robbery took place at 5:15pm, when the manager was about to close the business for the day. According to SAPS Communications Officer, Captain Mbense, “the manager, who is to remain anonymous for safety reasons, was locking up but forgot something inside and went back into the premises to retrieve the item. Upon doing so, two men, one of which was armed with a gun, sprung out from behind the wardrobes where they had been hiding and pointed the firearm at the manager.”
The armed duo demanded entry to the safe, and made off with R64 000.
The pair are still at large and no arrests have been made.
