St Dominic’s Academy goes camping

Sugar Bay Holiday Camp recently hosted pupils of St Dominic’s Academy for a week of educational fun, and bonding with teachers and classmates.

Sugar Bay is South Africa’s first and only American-style summer camp.

Providing children of ages seven to 17 with the most fun and memorable holidays imaginable, the week with St Dominic’s emphasises Sugar Bay camp’s vision as “a camp premised on the importance of growth and emotional development for each child”.

“We believe camp encourages greater self-esteem, independence and self-confidence, which are life-changing for any child,” camp representatives said.
