Crash claims the life of yet another biker

Despite advanced life support being administered, the patient succumbed to his injuries 40 minutes later.

According to reports, a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the R621 near Dannhauser yesterday afternoon.
ER24 paramedics responded to the scene to find a man was being treated by provincial services.
“On assessment, paramedics found the patient had sustained severe injuries to his chest and head, and was in a critical condition,” said ER24 spokesperson, Jan Henk van Vuuren.
Advanced life support was administered, however the patient succumbed to his injuries 40 minutes later.
“It is understood the patient was on his motorcycle when he hit a pothole, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle,” concluded Mr van Vuuren.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate, however no further information has been made available at this time.
