Cranking up the bass at car launch

Those taking part in the respective competitions showed they have what it takes when it comes to flashy cars with sound systems that really pump up the bass

Hyundai Ladysmith and Masons launched the Hyundai Veloster Turbo and i20n Sport on Saturday evening by hosting a Sound Competition and Show ‘n Shine. A large number of people attended the much-anticipated event, not only from Ladysmith but from Newcastle and Estcourt as well.

Those taking part in the respective competitions showed they have what it takes when it comes to flashy cars with sound systems that really pump up the bass. The Show ‘n Shine had car owners polishing their vehicles “all night long” to make sure they absolutely shimmered for the judges.

The Sound Competition, on the other hand, really had everyone on the edge of their seats, so to speak. The decibel readings being pushed out were very close to each other indeed and everyone wanted to get just a little bit louder!

Sathar and his crew from Masons made sure everything ran smoothly when it came to the sound testing. The spectators braved the cold weather and stayed out late on Saturday night to watch the sound enthusiasts crank it up. The night was enjoyed by everyone who attended and the competitors gave it their all to “outshine” the opposition, all in good spirits.
