Glencoe Primary- here, there, everywhere
This was definitely a very busy week for Glencoe Primary and we thank all educators and parents who were involved in any way.
It is an amazing experience when you are an involved person and you are part of the Glencoe Primary family. During the past few days there has been so much happening for our pupils and educators keeping them excited for a long while.
Planetarium
Glencoe Primary’s school hall was filled with a dome that could allow 100 pupils at a time to enter and experience a show and tell about the stars and other galaxies. A projector was used to show the night sky inside the dome and our pupils were told many stories and facts about the universe.
This was truly an amazing experience and Glencoe Primary thanked Mr Swanepoel for making it possible for the children.
Richards Bay
It was also very special for the U/11 soccer boys who travelled with Mr van Rooyen to Richards Bay to participate in a soccer tournament at Richardia Primary. The boys did the school proud as they took third place in the tournament. Well done to coach Sabelo Mabaso who helped the boys.
Astro Quiz
Glencoe Primary thanked Mrs Slabbert and Mr Ndaba for helping the team to do well again in the Astro Quiz competition for 2015. The girls did extremely well and missed out by 2 points. Glencoe Primary is very proud of these girls: Miriam Khan, Faith Mlambo, Sithandiwe Khanyile, Monique Botha and Bianca Hunlun.
Now to start preparations for 2016.
Spring day
Another fun day behind us but this time in the form of a colour festival. A special thank you must go to Mrs Van Vuuren for organising the day for the children. The pupils rode motorbikes, pillow fighting, jumping castles, golf and lots of other fun before they were given their paint sachets and everyone had to run for cover.
