Six people were injured in a collision involving three vehicles on the N11, just past the Kilbrachan turn-off, this afternoon.
A source on scene claimed the truck and bakkie that were involved were headed towards Ladysmith, when the third car travelling in the opposite direction allegedly went into the oncoming traffic lane.
“The truck driver attempted to swerve out of the way, as did the bakkie driver, but they still collided,” said the source.
The truck overturned due to the impact, while the other two vehicles sustained serious damage.
Fortunately, none of the people sustained serious injuries.
“The injuries were mostly lacerations and bruises,” claimed a paramedic on scene.
Police investigations will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the collision.
Motorists are urged to be cautious when travelling along the N11, as the scene is still to be cleared.
