On August 11 UThukela District Mayor DCP Mazibuko handed over seven new Tractor-Loader-Backhoes (TLBs) to all five local municipalities.

“UThukela District Municipality is committed to render quality service to its people.”

These were remarks made by the Mayor of UThukela District Municipality Dudu Mazibuko during the official handing over of keys to seven new TLBs.

The Mayor said that she was quite sure that the newly purchased TLBs would benefit the communities and also enhance service delivery.

“It is just a symbol to show that we are indeed committed as the municipality, to take services to the people,” said the Mayor.

The TLBs will be used in all the five municipalities namely; Emnambithi/ Ladysmith, Okhahlamba, Umtshezi, Imbabazane and Indaka.

The Mayor then urged the workers to take good care of all working equipment, including these new TLBs.

“Our employees must take good care of this important machinery to ensure effective service delivery to all our people,” said Mayor Mazibuko.
