Ichthus’s sports stars awarded

Open day at Ichthus: Wednesday August 26

On August 1, Ichthus hosted their annual athletics meeting.
Starting off the morning with a thick layer of frost on the field, Ichthus was blessed with wonderful weather for the rest of the day!

Congratulations to the following pupils who were awarded Victor and Victrix Ludorum and medals in their age category:
Junior Victrix Ludorum: Amy-Faith Stein. Junior Victor Ludorum: Siphume Ntombela. Senior Victrix Ludorum: Bianca Meintjes and Senior Victor Ludorum: Andrew Tiley. Best U/9 boy: Khwezi Molefe and Best U/9 girl: Nhlosenhle Madela.
Best U/14 boy: Drémar Jacobs.

The following records were broken:
Girls Javelin (U/13): Alwande Mkhize. Girls 75m Hurdles (U/12): Bianca Meintjes. Boys 80m (U/10): Siphume Ntombela equalled the previous record.

Well done to the Blue team who was the winning team for obtaining the most points during the day. Ichthus would like to thank Dundee High School for the use of their athletics facilities – they appreciate it very much!

Thank you to all Ichthus staff and parents who are involved in training the athletes during the season and who helped as officials on Saturday. Ichthus looks forward to the Northern KZN Athletics which they will be hosting this weekend, August,15 at the Dundee High School fields!
