Despite only being a year and a half at Charlies SuperSpar, Japie Hagen has already made a huge difference.
Under his leadership, Charlies SuperSpar’s butchery was voted as the Best Butchery Department of the Year in KZN.
Charlies beat out over 170 other Spars across the province to the title.
As manager of the butchery, Japie is extremely proud of the award.
“It’s great to get recognition for what you do and for your customer service, he said.”
Now 13 years in the butchery industry, and a maestro when it comes to the meat world, Japie can pick out cuts and grades of meat whenever he eats out.
When he’s not working away at making the butchery the best it can be, Japie loves spending time with his wife and is counting down the days till the birth of their first child.
