DHS’s Siyabonga Ndima is a brave lad

Siyabonga, stay strong and continue being the positive example you are to all of us.

Siyabonga, a grade 8 learner from DHS, suffered burns in a paraffin fire in August 2014 but kept fighting on and returned to school in February 2015.
Siyabonga sustained about 40% 3rd degree open-flame burns to his face, neck, torso, arms, back and legs, as well as inhalation burns.
He was admitted to ICU and had multiple operations, including a skin graft and debridement.
He has currently been taken in by the Children of Fire Organisation, an organisation that arranges surgery and rehabilitation for the poorest, worst-injured child burn survivors across Africa, integrating education and social intervention.
Dundee High scholars, educators and staff are thinking of him and keeping him in their prayers.
Siyabonga, stay strong and continue being the positive example you are to all of us.
