BREAKING NEWS: R400 000 worth of stolen goods seized in Newcastle

The goods recovered are believed to have been stolen during burglaries throughout Newcastle.

Two suspects were arrested earlier today in possession of stolen property to the value of more than R400 000.

According to reports, the goods had been stored in a flat in Newcastle West. Unofficial sources said the flat was located in lower Signal Hill.

SAPS spokesperson, Captain Shooz Magudulela told the media they raided the flat after receiving a tip-off.

The goods are believed to have been stolen during burglaries throughout Newcastle. The owners have since identified their goods.

The suspects are expected to appear before a Newcastle court soon.

Investigations continue.
